Workshops on parenting, help with daycare registration and information meetings on different childcare options: the City Council together with parents

Becoming parents can quickly become a marathon! To find your way around easily, the Town Hall of 10my has created the Relai Info Familles, a space designed to guide and inform on the different types of care for young children, to facilitate registration in daycare centers, but also to manage parenthood thanks to workshops and discussion groups.

Information meeting on the first Friday of each month:

This meeting aims to introduce you to the different foster care methods that exist and their specificities in the district, to help you in your research and make an informed decision about fostering your child. This meeting is led by the management of the different structures, the social workers and the FEPEM (Fédération des Particuliers Employeurs de France).

Municipal collective nurseries: from 2 and a half months to 3 years

Their children are welcomed in collective municipal nurseries by caregivers, early childhood educators and agents of the city of Paris. Children are cared for by age groups, full or part-time, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a maximum working day of ten hours per child. The places are assigned by a commission that meets several times a year.

The municipal family daycare: from 2 and a half months to 3 years

This establishment brings together babysitters authorized and hired by the city of Paris. These nannies take care of up to three children under 3 years old, whom they welcome into their home four out of every five days. To ensure collective reception and good socialization, nannies accompany their children to the family daycare once a week. The prices and opening hours of this structure are identical to those of a municipal collective daycare. The places are assigned by a commission that meets several times a year.

The municipal nursery: from 18 months to 3 years

This municipal establishment mainly welcomes children who have never benefited from collective care before turning 18 months old. It is a place of socialization before entering kindergarten. Children are welcomed there from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., as in collective daycare centers, by teams of agents from the city of Paris, early childhood professionals.

Hospital nurseries: from 2 and a half months to 3 years

In the three hospital structures of the district, the City Council of 10my has reserved several places for the little ones. These daycare centers have the particularity of offering staggered schedules. The places are assigned by a commission that meets several times a year.

Nursery: from 6 and a half months to 3 years

The specificity of daycare centers is to welcome your children for part-time or part-time. Associative nurseries are subsidized by the city of Paris and the Caisse d’Allocations Familiales. The price is identical to that of municipal nurseries. The age at which children are received varies depending on the approval of the structure.

Associative parental nurseries: up to 3 years

These are collective nurseries managed by an association of parents. The latter commit to participating in child care, with the support of early childhood professionals, including an educational technical manager. Parents also agree to actively participate in the life of the establishment. The age at which your children enter these structures varies depending on the establishment. It is an associative establishment, whose specificity is to mainly accommodate children who have never benefited from collective care before the age of 18 months. Childminders employed by individuals

They are early childhood professionals, approved, supported and supervised by the Family Maternal Assistant Approval Service (SAMF). From their home they care for one or more children, whose number is defined according to their approval. They benefit from access to the Maternal Assistant Relay (RAM), a place of exchanges and discoveries to promote the socialization of their children. The SAMF maintains a list of available babysitters at your disposal and organizes an information meeting on the organization of foster care once a week, upon registration.

Shared custody

A nanny goes alternately to two families, who decide together the conditions of the alternation (every day, every week, etc.). All families can benefit from the home childcare subsidy. This CAF assistance consists of covering 50% to 75% of social security contributions depending on the resources and age of the children. The Paris Services Familles association offers an advertising platform on its website for families who wish to share a parental assistant. To know more: shared custody

Parent Helpers

Parental assistants, employed directly by parents in their home, care for children in the family home. Since custody can be shared between several families, parent volunteers have an advertising platform on the site: lestribus.paris.fr

Financial aid for individual foster care

Additional free choice of childcare method: if you leave your child under 6 years of age in the care of an authorized nanny or home daycare, CAF covers part of your employee’s remuneration and security contributions social. For more information: www.caf.fr.
